Biography
I am a fourth year Ph.D. candidate in Computer Science at the University of Southern California. My advisor is Prof. Cyrus Shahabi. I completed my Bachelors degree in Computer Science from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). I also obtained a research-based M.Phil. in CS at HKUST in 2016, under the supervision of Prof. Dimitris Papadias.
My research interest is in differential privacy and statistical inference, with a focus on mobility data publishing, machine learning, data structures & indexing, and others.
More information is available on my CV.

Experience

Teaching Experience
Teaching Assistant, 2017/08 - 2019/12
Extensive teaching experience in masters courses related to Geospatial Data Management and Privacy (CSCI 587, USC), Advanced Algorithms (CSCI 570, USC), and Database Management Systems (CSCI 5311, HKUST). I was the head TA for Advanced Algorithms for three semesters. I conducted lecture sessions (when requried), reviewed sessions for exams, designed written assignments and exams. For the course on Geospatial Data Management and Privacy, I taught several lecture sessions on data privacy, designed and implemented from scratch engaging programming assignments on spatial and social data management in C++, which constituted 30% of course grade.
